Birthdays are a happy occasion, for the children as well as their parents. It is a memorable day which is cherished for years to come. The return gifts, the decoration all have to be according to the theme of the party and who better than Preeti Revankar Vernekar to help you out here! Meet Preeti of Craft Identity, whose mission is to provide a range of craft solutions to quench your thirst for creativity, birthday themes among them. From favour boxes, name boards and garlands to frames, banners and cake stands, Craft Identity offers a wide range of customised paper and vinyl products for every occasion.
A commerce graduate turned first generation entrepreneur, #Preeti has also worked in the fields of HR and event management. However the creativity that runs in her veins, nudged her to take up her maiden venture, #CraftIdentity.
Upon relocating back to India from the US just before her daughter’s first birthday, Preeti wanted to throw her angel a memorable birthday party. However she was disappointed with the dearth of creative ideas in the markets at home and didn’t want to go with the age old decorations comprising thermocol and streamers. Preeti thus decided to design the theme herself, and the effort was appreciated by friends and family alike. What started off as a onetime project, took the form of a full fledged venture. Started with the motive of providing people with innovative theme ideas for birthday parties, Craft Identity intends to become a one stop shop for all craft needs. A strong believer of #MakeInIndia, Preeti feels that all craft needs can be taken care of locally, instead of importing supplies from abroad. She also feels that the creative market range is very limited and does not satiate the requirements of Global Indians. Preeti thus wants to establish a homegrown brand and dreams of opening a chain of stores across India to ensure that maximum people get a chance to give wings to the creative keeda in them, just like she did! A proponent of woman empowerment, Preeti prides herself in the fact that she has a venture built from scratch and firmly believes that every woman should have her own identity. This motivation has helped her to come up with creative ideas and to create a niche for herself in the market!
Preeti, we hope your dream of opening a craft and decoration centric chain of stores becomes a reality soon! 🙂
